Students explain school energy display!

Families in Hoke County are excited about the new and unique Sandy Grove Middle School, located south of Rockfish. The school generates more energy than it consumes using solar panels, excellent insulation capability, a geothermal heating and cooling system, high efficiency lighting, and a superior building control system. The lobby of the school includes a touch-screen display with interactive lessons that teach how the new school building applies technology to generate energy and monitor performance.
